Mental clutch not engaging
Uggggh…
Brain is not working this morning. I am slow and stupid. Caffeine not helping. I just pray I get through the morning without embarassing myself too much.
I don’t know what the problem is, I ate well yesterday and got 6 hours of sleep last night (okay, interrupted once or twice by the cat, but I thought I was used to that by now).
Failed to dodge a spoiler yesterday for “Revenge of the Sith”, and it’s disappointing. From all I hear, the movie’s going to be quite good, but I’m disappointed that they chose to include this one little detail.
Last week’s Enterprise, however, was all style, no substance, and yet it rocked. You don’t need things to make sense when you’re having this much fun. The last 6 minutes especially… oooh, nerdgasm. The 8-year-old fan in me was royally entertained. Can’t wait to see tonight’s; at least the show’s going out fighting.
I should’ve been paying better attention; I didn’t realize until last Saturday, a day too late for that episode, that Enterprise was back to new episodes. (Must remember to bring videotape with me to work tonight, since I’ll be working through tonight’s episode.)
One word of warning: tonight’s is the second part of a two-parter… and a *lot* of important stuff happened in the first part. Hopefully, gets all five of the final episodes for me. I’m going to be extremely upset if I miss any of them, as they all sound like winners.
Interesting rumor, if true: “These are the voyages…” is something of Enterprise’s answer to “Sleeping in light”. That is to say, it was actually written during the third season when they thought they were going to be cancelled then, but produced this year when the cancellation was made official. Interesting if true.
I also like the fact that, by tying the final episode to TNG, they say, in effect, “Yep, it’s canon. Deal with it.”
Was last week’s the one with the Orion slave girls? (I figure I’m not spoiling anything that a commercial for the ep didn’t there.)
Nope, last week’s is the first of a two-parter set in the Mirror Universe. All the characters get to be eeeevil for a while. It’s almost always great fun for the actors, and this one was obviously no different.
There’s a special bit of business at the end of “Through a Mirror, Darkly: pt.1” for hardcore Trek fen, which will probably be a significant plot point throughout the second part.
If Tony misses any, I can get them all for you the way I got the first part of the season. Let me know which ones you might have missed.
P.S. Green Orion women do nothing for the 8-year-old Trek fan in me. The 14-year-old fan, however, pays closer attention.

I remembered at 8:20 that Enterprise comes on at 8 here instead of 9. With no 11 pm or midnight repeats anymore.
At least I remembered at 8:20 and not, say, 9:05.
