Stuff

We got pizza for lunch, Humble Pie. But I accidentally ate a slice of the pepperoni pizza (’cause all the cheese was on top) and now my stomach’s badly unsettled.

The people who programmed the spell checker for this client weren’t real hackers… the spell checker doesn’t recognize the word “pepperoni”.

Someone is advertising miniature cattle in this week’s issue of the paper… I keep flashing back to the conversation about “raising albino lesbian micro-beefalo in a windowbox” that came up during kittykatya‘s Roanoke TFOS game from years ago. The beefalo weren’t part of the game, you understand, just part of our gaming conversation.

The Australian government, responding to the RIAA’s “we can hack your computer when we feel like it bill”, has said that such activity may make US executives criminals under Australian law, and expose them to charges and possible arrests if they enter the country. There’s more info here. Good for them! “Australia, Australia, Australia, we love you, amen!”

Hi to rubinpdf – say, do you think I could actually film the Commissioner Horton part this time?

One more concert addendum…

Of course, Keith Brinegar won the tickets. He wins radio station contests constantly – the DJs all know him by name. *sigh*

Just another froody Friday

Welcome, Dave (calandra) and Eric (epawtows), to yet another corner of cyberspace claimed by local fandom. Dave caused me a minor LiveJournal crisis this morning… I color code all my friends posts to the user… but I’d already used most of the workable combinations that had black backgrounds. Found another, though.

There’s a rushing sound in my left ear… it pulses in time to my heartbeat, so I have the feeling it’s related to blood flow… it gets worse when I move my head quickly, then subsides… it also gets louder when I’m agitated. I don’t know what it is, but it’s both worrying and annoying me. I should probably get checked for hypertension.

Missed lunch with the lovely raininva today ’cause I wasn’t watching the clock. It does mean I get to leave work earlier, since I’ll eat at my desk, but I hate missing time with her. It’s funny, but we both agree that even when we’re in separate rooms of our apartment, doing our own things, we’re more together than when one of us is there and the other’s off somewhere.

Enjoying hypertext

Okay… I have just proved to myself that I don’t have a single functioning braincell.

I’ve only been reading jdunson‘s comments to my various friends‘ posts for several days. Only today did it occur to me that I could add him to my Friends List.

D’oh!!

Hi James! I just downloaded the OS X binaries for ToME after reading your mentions in your journal. If this game sucks away my life like a Blizzard game does, it’s all your fault. 🙂

At work, they call me “The Oracle”

Hmmm… seconds ago I refreshed my friends page, and kittykatya had an entry up about her Sailor Senshi colors. Had to close the window before I could really read the entry… and now it’s gone.

Did the Matrix just glitch on me and I saw part of the simulation that won’t be up for a little while? Or am I just hallucinating again?

Not a happy post

Well…

I watched them put my cat to sleep today.

Okay, technically my mom’s cat, and an animal I’ve seen only occasionally since I moved out to be with Rain. But.

Pris was a friendly little animal who, throughout most of my twenties, kept me company, soothed bruised feelings, and generally offered unconditional support when I needed it. For a cat, she was very affectionate and open.

She became very very sick quickly, over a period of a few days. It was the vet’s opinion that medical treatment would just prolong her suffering, and to be honest, she got so much sicker over the short time I was there that I’m not sure she would have seen tomorrow anyway. We’re still not perfectly sure what was wrong.

So, anyway. I’m sure I’ll be over this shortly, but right now…

I watched them put my cat to sleep today.

lost…

Here is me getting ready to go to Lisa and Vond’s “Leaving for Japan” party.

Here is me remembering that I never got directions or a location. *D’oh!”

Well, I’m going to trust in blind faith and head toward the standard Haloween party locale. If you guys never see me tonight, you’ll know why.

The Similar Minds test says that I am 81% similar with Meiran and 80% complimentary. I think it means “complementary”, but it is too late in the evening to be sure.

Readers who wish to compare themselves to me (yeah, right) can do so here: How Compatible are You with me?

Another 45 seconds of fame

Congratulations to Chris Impink for his guest artist stint at online comic Sluggy Freelance today! (If the day you read this isn’t 4/4/02, you may have to use the calendar links to see his strip.) If they use his art in the next book, I’ll have to get him to sign it!
