The Sorceress of Speed and Time
I am very proud of my sweetie! She played the third scenario of a short Mechwarrior: Dark Age campaign last night, and she had done her homework; she’d gone over the scenario description, fine-tuned the force she was going to use, and even used me as a guinea pig for her strategy. (She ran roughshod over me, but did at least tell me that she hadn’t even expected the minimal resistance I provided, so I guess that’s a compliment *smirk*)
Last night she beat both her opponents in less than half the permitted time, and walked away with a valuable “Atlas” collectible game piece. (I told a non-gamer that it was a little like winning permission to replace your bishops with an extra queen in a chess game.) She also impressed the judge to the extent that he is going to sponsor her as a judge, which will be good for local cons and get her some nice perks as well.
Hooray for Rain!
Umm EXCUSE ME!
Rain’s force wasn’t built for Sudden Death, and she was going to get the tank.
Ya… it was not built for sudden death… but we only had a half hour… I think my force would have lasted the half hour… and while the Koshi’s do medium damage, they are long lasting… and you have said yourself I am good at stratagy… I think I could have held my own. So don’t go saying I was going to get the tank and that the guy basically ‘let me have’ 1st place… I EARNED that first place. Especially since the first battle the battlemaster let them go over an hour so they could finish their game, and the second game he spent 55 mins playing…. I think the fact that I finished both my battles in under a half hour each proved I won the senerio. And had we played the Senerio for the sudden death… basically both us trying to get off the board instead of just one of us trying to get off the board… I would have won that too because of how slow his army was remember… he had tanks in there, with very slow movements.
Re: Umm EXCUSE ME!
You are absolutely correct. I’ve changed the entry, and posted an apology… forgive me, my love.
