I do still make Lego buildings

I feel like this xkcd cartoon all the time:

Lease

I’m so often afraid that at some point, someone will notice that I have absolutely no clue what’s going on and have just over the years gotten really good at pretending otherwise.

Eventually, I get over that and move on with my life. Sausage pizza or chocolate chip ice cream usually helps a lot.

I figure almost everyone feels this way. It gets infinitely worse when you have a kid. “Really? You’re just going to let me walk out of here? With a baby? Are you nuts?”

Heh, welcome to every day at my job. You want me to what now? I pointed out to a good friend of mine the other day that if I screw up my job, then we all get sued. That’s a thousand times more pressure than my fake adult brain needs, so I hardly think about it. She seems to think I must interview well, since they gave me the position in the first place. I think it’s just because I got so good at pretend and make believe when I was a kid. πŸ˜‰

Yeah. Not that I think I’m childish, but I don’t think I’ll ever think of myself as an “adult”.

    I feel that way sometimes.
I actaully get to act like a kid sometimes – or at least use my hobbies at work.
Saturday I whipped up a veil in 10 minutes or less for a customer.
Tonight I dyed a veil with tea in my kitchen.
Last Friday I glued ostritch feathers to a flowered pin – after telling my boss that that’s what those fluffy bits were and where to buy them for the customer.
In january I upholstered a bench using fabric, iron on hem tape and a staple gun. It has pleats. I didn’t know I was that cool.

And you’re right Sausage pizza and ice cream do help, a lot.
