A couple weeks ago, South Park did an episode about “World of Warcraft”. I don’t keep up with South Park, myself – in fact, this was the first episode I ever watched – but I’ll admit there was some funny stuff in it. They got the game references almost completely right. (If you’d like to see it, and haven’t, it’s all over the web, with the apparent approval of the show’s creators. There is one rather unnecessary scatological joke, unfortunately.)
Machinima.com has an article about the episode, where the show creators discuss working wth Blizzard. Among other trivia, the episode was apparently filmed in the Burning Crusade alpha-test server.

Funny thing is, I do have lots to talk about. Bad news is that I’m far too busy helping our new roommate move in to actually sit and write much of a post.
I did have time the other day to throw this together in Photoshop, but I’m thinking that it’s really not funny enough to use as one of my icons.
The image of an extremely large boa constrictor wrapped around Starscream just didn’t work as an LJ icon, either.

Every time the radio mentions that Fiona Apple will soon be performing here, I worry that she’ll go Rampant and try to steal the SDF-1 from its reconstruction dock in Norfolk Harbor.
You think Spock had problems?
A few people who have seen “Superman Returns” have wondered in my presence about a certain plot point from the movie. I don’t want to say too much more about this plot point, for it could be considered a bit of a spoiler, but here is an article by a Famous Science Fiction Writer on the subject.

People being silly
Just in case anyone hasn’t heard, the IQ Challenge meme is apparently a prank, and the numbers are rather meaningless. Some folks would sya that’s true of many IQ tests out there, but I’ll leave that debate to others for now.
I’ve been using something called “AXE Snake Peel” in the shower for a few weeks. Rain bought it for me… it’s mildly abrasive, smells good, and seems to be fine for washing up. Their website, though, asks me to use their product and join the “Order of the Serpentine”. Y’know… I just don’t feel I need to become a member of a “secret” society just to use a bath soap.
As so often happens when I’m composing morning journal entries, there was something else I wanted to say, but I forget. Ah well. Guess that means I have to go to work now.

In WoW, warlocks drain soul energy from their enemies and store it to power their spells. Tuesday night, I drained the soul of a parrot. Hey, it attacked first!
Stacey “Pink Five” is back. Amazing to me how one can start off making a one-camera, one-actress short Star Wars fanfilm and go on to making a 60-minute extravaganza that includes a full-scale X-Wing prop and legal agreements with Lucasfilm. But then, we live in a time where Star Wars fandom gets its own Hasbro action figure.
We started up the grill last Saturday, officially welcoming back Spring!
