Diet Coke drove me to coffee…

  • nanoreid says:

Try Coke Zero or the Diet Coke with Splenda. They both taste better than the regular Diet Coke.

  • Mikhail says:

I’ve heard that about the Splenda, but I’m looking for a drink I can be reasonably sure of getting wherever I go.

Maybe I’ll just do the Splenda version when possible, and the non-Splenda the rest of the time.

  • nanoreid says:

That one problem with the Splenda version. The other problem I have is it only comes in cans or 2L bottles. I keep asking for the 20oz but I guess it’s not popular enough yet.

  • Oh man. Diet Coke is my elixir. I would be so sad without it!

(Hi! I friended you because of Slacktivist. I rarely post there, but I read it all the time. And you are cool.)

  • Mikhail says:

Hello! I friended you back once I placed the name 🙂 And thank you very much for the compliment, I look forward to getting to know you on my Friends page!

  • Mikhail says:

Coffee is not an option, but I can easily imagine the process!

  • fixitup says:

Why diet? It still has caffeine.

  • Mikhail says:

That’s why I’m drinking it, I want the morning caffeine. But every morning when I used to look forward to my first Coke, I look at the Diet Coke with a faint hint of resignation.

It really doesn’t taste bad… just a little odd. But it’s not the comfort drink that a Coke was.

  • fixitup says:

Ah, I get it now. I thought you were looking for something sans caffeine. My mistake.

Yeah, diet is odd. I think it’s the aftertaste. I recently tried Diet Caffeine-Free Dr. Pepper and actually like it. If you’re a Pepper fan, maybe you should try the Diet (with caffeine).
